The macro cyber economic condition is an understanding of the cyber risk problem amongst 18 industry verticals and how those verticals have a direct adverse condition to the U.S. GDP. In this moment, the cyber condition is most concerning for the operational health of healthcare, transportation, technology, and manufacturing (each representing a problem that is greater than 3% of revenue), However, cyber incidents, within manufacturing, are most likely to cause the greatest harm to U.S. GDP. Fortunately, effective mitigation strategies, which include network monitoring and defense, service provider management, and security awareness training, would reduce this macro cyber economic condition.
